1. Independent Study (Fully Self-Paced)

Best for students who prefer to work entirely on their own schedule.

Content: Access on demand to 30+ videos (one for each juz), quizzes, and additional resources.
Flexibility: Complete all coursework at your own pace, with no deadlines, or need to hand in assignments.
Support: Includes access to a dedicated WhatsApp group for Q&A with Ustadha Fatemah and option to join live Q&A occasionally. .

2. Study Group (Hybrid)

Best for students who value community accountability alongside self-paced learning. Find some friends and register as a group! Receive a discount and the following perks:

Content: Same self-paced access to the main video content, quizzes, and resources.
Requirement: Must meet monthly with study group (online or in-person) and take attendance.
Bonus: Includes 3 dedicated live Zoom sessions with Ustadha Fatemah throughout the year.
Certification: Participants who attend 80-90% of the monthly meetings and complete all course assignments are eligible to receive a certificate of completion.

Important Logistics

Registration Deadline: June 30, 2026.
Access Duration: One year of access (starting from June 30 2026 and valid until June 30, 2027).
Textbook: The textbook is required and purchased separately at www.mizaninstitute.org/roadmap.

Study Group Requirements

If you are forming a study group, please ensure you meet the following criteria and email it to [email protected] in order to receive your group’s discount code.

WhatsApp Communication: You must maintain a WhatsApp group that includes a Mizan admin.
Participants: Your group must have a minimum of 5 people and a maximum of 20.
Accountability: You must meet monthly (online or in-person) and take attendance.
Leadership: You must designate a group leader who emails the admin, sets up online meetings, and acts as the liaison with Ustadha Fatemah for the live sessions.

Delve into the Qur’an with a 30-session self-paced course. Each pre-recorded session offers a comprehensive exploration of a ‘juz’ from the Qur’an.

Covering 1 juz per session, each lasting about 1-1.5 hours; the course is self-paced.

Dedicated Whatsapp group with Ust. Fatemah and Ust. Maleeha who will answer questions throughout the month of Ramadhan.

For several years, I wanted to acquaint myself with the Holy Quran in the English language in order to fully immerse myself in its teachings. When I heard of Quran 30/30, there was no doubt in my mind that this was the course for me.... What also helped strengthen my connection to the Quran were the Juz Sheets that Ustadha Fatemah thoughtfully put together, providing us with a deeper look into the meanings and context behind each verse. All of this truly helped deepen my understanding of the Holy Quran, and I look forward to taking the course whenever the opportunity presents itself again inshallah. I can’t recommend it enough. I was hesitant to take this class because I felt I wasn’t ready or that I wouldn’t be able to handle the amount of reading. However once I started and put a plan in place, in was so easy to commit to because of how much I wanted to learn the Quran. The drive came from seeing the instructor's passion, the engaging discussions, and great classmates. While going through a tough time, taking this class reconnected me to Allah and the Quran that makes me so at peace. Alhamdulillah for this course, it’s truly life changing!

Through this class and the tawfeeq of Allah(swt), we were able to read and understand the entire Quran in English.... After this course, I built a stronger and more impactful relationship with the Quran. I also became more familiarized with it and realized how special this miracle in my hands was. This course was an instrumental part of my ongoing journey with the Quran. I recommend everyone to take it at least once in their life InshAllah! The Holy Quran is one of the biggest blessings that often goes hidden in our lives. In my opinion, taking this course is the best way to uncover many of the gems the Quran has to offer us.

DETAILED OVERVIEW & COURSE OUTLINE

Overview: Qur’an 30/30 is a meticulously designed program where each session revolves around an in-depth exploration of a ‘juz’ – a 1/30th division of the Qur’an. With a commitment of roughly 1-2 hours per week, students are guided through an overview of the selected ‘juz’, unraveling its spiritual and intellectual riches. The course is self-paced which means that sisters hold themselves accountable and can work with their own schedules, leading to increased flexibility.

A User-Friendly Online Learning Experience: For the first time ever, Qur’an 30/30 will be using a dedicated learning platform with mobile and computer support called Mighty Networks. This software is incredibly easy to use and user-friendly. Sisters will have the opportunity to interact with sisters from around the globe, and to participate in quizzes etc. Lessons will be unlocked upon completion, and sisters can follow their own pace.

Cultivating a Personal Connection: One of the core aims of Qur’an 30/30 is to empower participants to forge a personal and meaningful relationship with the Qur’an. Through reading the English translation, students are guided toward establishing a bridge to the deeper layers of the text. These encompass spiritual journeying, the narratives of prophets, historical contexts, and thought-provoking questions. Participants are also offered dedicated lessons on these themes, providing an introductory exploration into their meanings.

Some of these topics include, but are not limited to:

Building a Relationship with the Qur’an: How can we increase our reflections on the Qur’an and better our relationship with it? How can we do tadabbur? Is it possible for a flawed human to understand the Qur’an on their own?
The organization of the Qur’an: Why is it in the format it is in today? Do the order of the verses and chapters have any significance? Does this matter? Why do the topics jump around so much? Is it in a chronological order?
Tawhid ‘Afali in the Qur’an: Why does Allah attribute evil and misguidance to himself? Does this go against free-will? How do we understand the way Allah speaks in the Qur’an?
Polarity: Why are themes of reward and punishment so prominent in various chapters of the Qur’an? Wouldn’t it be more effective if God constantly focused on His Mercy alone?
Stories: Why is there such an emphasis on stories in the Qur’an and why are they so vague in details?
Spiritual Wayfaring: Repentance, the philosophy behind du’a, the characteristics of believers, nature and the environment, and spiritual psychology
The Ahl al-Bayt in the Qur’an: Why doesn’t the Qur’an mention the Ahl al-Bayt by name? Wouldn’t it have been easier if it did? Which verses are speaking about the Ahl al-Bayt?
