The Savior in Judaism
The Savior in Christianity
The Savior in the Quran

TORONTO/ GTA HYBRID FORMAT FROM SEPTEMBER 2023-JUNE 2024

This course will offer a hybrid format that combines both in-person and online elements to provide a comprehensive learning experience for those who live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). The course will primarily be conducted online via weekly recorded lectures and quizzes that can be accessed at any time. Additionally, there will be weekend in-person classes held every 2-3 months at the JCC (Jaffari Community Center) in Toronto. Sr. Fatemah will visit Toronto four times throughout the year to conduct these sessions. The introductory sessions will be at 7pm on Friday Sept 22nd, 2023, and then on Friday November 17th, and Sunday November 19th.

All in-person classes will be announced at least 1-2 months in advance and will only take place 4-5x during the year at JCC (September, November & tentatively February and April, and June). Classes will take place on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings at 7pm when in-person. The total number of in-person sessions will not exceed eight for the entire year. This is very minimal commitment. Sisters who cannot commit to this are free to take the self paced online only version

During the in-person sessions, students will have the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions, ask questions, and participate in discussions. These sessions are designed to foster a collaborative learning environment and allow for real-time interaction with the instructor and fellow classmates. Attending the live sessions (which are only held a few times throughout the year) is mandatory. Students who will be absent will be required to get an excused absence from the instructor in advance to the session. Recordings for live in-person sessions will not be available.

For the weeks that are not held in-person, sisters will be provided with the online learning portal and pre-recorded Juz summaries.

For further support and engagement, students will be required to form study groups with other students in their local area to meet twice a month with assigned discussions when there are no in-person sessions. The timing of these sessions will be up to the local groups to determine.

By offering a combination of in-person classes and online resources, this hybrid format ensures flexibility and convenience for students, allowing them to access course materials and lectures at their own pace while also providing valuable face-to-face interactions and support during the in-person sessions.
