The final two years of the life of Imam Ridha consists of most of the events narrated about his life. After he was forced to leave Madinah and settle in Marw, the capital of the Abbasid caliphate, the Imam had the opportunity to present Shi’i beliefs and teachings from far the typical centers of Shi’ism.
