Course Synopsis:
Throughout our lives, we have heard much about the details of what happens during and after death. Whether it be through reading the Holy Quran and hadiths or other books on the topic, or simply listening to lectures from our respectable scholars, we have a picture in our minds of what the afterlife looks like.
But it doesn’t end there and there is much more we are not aware of. While there are many works covering the details of what happens after death, there are a few that allow one to “understand” what happens. After all, there is a difference between just knowing something versus understanding the depths of it.
This course, while covering some details, aims for the higher goal of “understanding” the essence of the different aspects of death and the Barzakh, based on the works of the late Allamah Tabatabai in his advanced book of al-Insaan and Quranic commentary of al-Mizan, as well as the works of other great scholars of Islam and students of the late Allamah. this course is part 1 of a series on death and resurrection, covering from death till the barzakh and the blowing in the trumpets.
